Start Now, Before You Need It

We’ve all heard different iterations of the same concept; you didn’t gain weight overnight, so you won’t lose it in that amount of time either. Progress of any kind takes time and patience, and the same goes for our health. However, it’s more complicated than weight gain and weight loss; in order to increase your chances of longevity and overall health throughout your life, you need to start sooner rather than later.

Results of improper health maintenance may appear as short term ailments in the beginning – skin issues, weight gain, improper sleep, weakened immune system and so on – but one of the most adverse effects of not caring for our physical bodies with proper exercise is the loss of muscle mass.

As renowned physician and longevity scientist Peter Attia, MD., puts it in one of his podcasts, “If you have the aspiration of kicking ass when you’re 85, you can’t afford to be average when you’re 50.”  This specific podcast episode discusses the importance of muscle mass, strength, and cardiorespiratory fitness for longevity and dives deep into the literature that shows rapid increase in morbidity and mortality risk as fitness levels decline with age.

So how can we ensure we maintain the proper fitness levels to maintain cardiorespiratory fitness and muscle mass throughout the years? Is it as easy as hitting the gym two to three times a week?

That’s where Aeon comes in.

Our team of specialists are trained to develop detailed, accurate assessments of each patient’s health and fitness levels in order to provide them with the right methods and information to maintain their fitness long-term.

Our ARX machine and CAROL bike are designed to increase your lean muscle mass and cardiorespiratory fitness – ultimately leading to weight loss (which is often the short-term goal) and increased muscle mass (important for longevity).

We want you to get fit and STAY fit, for many years to come.
